Coaching
One Coach, twice a month
A Causeway coach is an experienced professional who has been on both sides of hiring processes, not someone whose career has only been giving advice about it. They've read the stack of resumes, asked the hard questions, made hiring decisions, and seen the results. They understand the specific problem your student now has: how a twenty-something with no track record fits into a process built to filter on past performance. They know what their field's bar is becoming and they're here to help your student break into it.
Each track's Textbook says how the field hires and what to be able to do by when. Your student's tasks between sessions are built backward from that list. Every two weeks the coach reviews the work, sets the next tasks and marks where your student stands: Not Yet, Developing, Ready, Standout. After every call you get a recap, and your own page shows the plan and where your student stands.
In sessions the coach pushes your student like an interviewer and then debriefs like a coach.
Coaches meet with your student twice a month during the school year, once a month in summer. The sessions are designed to teach, support, and hold accountable.
The coach works out the hours a week at the kickoff and your student agrees to the number. It rises in recruiting season.
